CRT Cortese of Upper Monferrato

Biodynamic orange 2020, 13%vol, no added suphites.

Winemaking process:
The grapes are selected and hand harvested in Cascina Rocco, on loose soils, mainly silt-clayey. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with the must on the skins for three days. With the use of indigenous yeasts only, a slow natural fermentation occurs before spending at least 6 months in a large acacia wood barrel.
In the local dialect of 19th century, Reìs means “roots”.
The REIS vineyard was planted in 1985 and the yields are therefore very low. This years production is just 2960 bottles. Organic and biodynamic methods are followed.
Best served at slighlty chilled beetween 12-14°C, let it breathe before drink.
Store in cool and dark place keeping the bottle lying down.
Ageing potential for over 15 years.

Tasting notes:
Deep golden colour with amber shades. Fine and intense, balanced dry and sweetness. Ripe white peach and apricots and coconut, almond and cashew, chestnuts, herbaceous. Good body and persistent aftertaste.

Fresh pasta, mushroom, truffle, risotto, indian cuisine, vegetables, cheese.
